Tracing a path from the 15th-century Italian hymn to Lithuanian folk songs harmonised by M. K. Čiurlionis and contemporary compositions by Gintarė Jautakaitė, the programme reflects a continuum of tradition and renewal — where spirituality and identity intertwine with the organic rhythm of life itself.

Emerging within the Pavilion, this performance also acts as a symbolic bridge between two great events — the Architecture Biennale and the Music Biennale. Through sound, space, and collective presence, it opens a new field of resonance between disciplines, reminding us that both architecture and music arise from the same human impulse to shape silence, to give form to breath, and to root meaning in time and place.

The Choir group by Pastoralės Giesmē unfolds as a living resonance within the Lithuanian Pavilion Archi | Tree | tecture — an encounter between architecture, nature, and sound. The Pavilion’s central image, the felled tree, evokes both loss and possibility: a reminder of the fragility of roots and the potential for regeneration. In dialogue with this idea, the musical intervention becomes a gesture of re-rooting — a reconnection through voice, breath, and harmony.
